MIFF director visits Malta for final agreements
The Malta International Film Festival director, Hisham Abdel Khalek, has visited Malta from the 9th till the 16th of December to meet the MIFF local team and discuss about the festival final arrangements. He also met representatives form the Maltese governmental department involved in the festival. The director and the Maltese team spent this time selecting festival venues, signing contracts with local sponsors and spotting the locations and the facilities which will host the MIFF events. The director also concluded agreements with the lodging resorts which will host participants, guests and visitors during the festival. The MIFF discussed in Malta the details of the press conference on the launching of the festival. The event is organized by – Association pour l'échange culturel entre l'Europe et l'Orient (AECEO) an association based in Paris with the cooperation of AraMage Artistic Production, a leading international production company and AJR Events a leading event management company in Malta with the support of the Maltese Ministry of tourism and culture. The festival board has approached a number of international celebrities to participate in the first round as guests, tributes and jury members. Also a number of international cinema organizations and companies have been approached to participate in this event. The festival will have more than five different sections with an international competition for long feature films. An international film market will be held during the festival with participation of more than 50 international companies and organizations than and the festival will held more than ten different activities. The festival aims to promote Malta as a desirable film shooting location and to open a dialogue between cinema professionals all over the world.
