Sunday will be the big award ceremony of the Cannes International Film Festival. A sure winner for either the Palme d'Or or the Camera d'Or have not yet been determined. So everyone knows what is inside the Palais des Festivals: the premieres, the stars, the markets, the press. But what about whats outside? The red carpet to be sure, but also you will find the parking for all of the cars used to drive the stars to the red carpet, all black ones ranging from the sponsor, Renault, to Mercedes and Escalades. The European Union's Media Programme has banked $970 million dollars from the years 2007-2013. The money will be spread through the media and entertainment industry. The percentages of the fund will be used for training (7%), developing(20%), distribution (55%), promotion (9%), and pilot projects (4%). This budget is a huge increase since the last budget of $659m from 2001-2006.
