World Movies Secret Cinema comes to BAPFF

The inaugural Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival (BAPFF) has announced an exciting addition to its program with the hugely successful World Movies Secret Cinema to be held over four nights in December.



BAPFF, an international film event initiative of the Brisbane City Council, will run from November 29 to December 14 and includes about 85 of the best films from the Asia Pacific Region, producers of half the world's film content.



BAPFF Executive Chairman Michael Hawkins welcomed World Movies Secret Cinema to the festival. "We have a wonderful, entertaining and thought-provoking selection of films for BAPFF 2014 and I know World Movies Secret Cinema will add another layer to what is already a unique program."



Mr Hawkins said World Movies Secret Cinema will add even more mystery and intrigue to the BAPFF line-up. "I'm looking forward to attending this great event which is sure to become a highlight for Brisbane residents and visitors alike. The World Movies Secret Cinema screenings will include special theming, activities, food and beverage as well as a great movie, and as the name suggests, the venue will be secret right up until the last moment."



BAPFF's program includes multi-award winning feature films and documentaries, highlights from the leading film festivals and films from the leading filmmakers of the region. The festival promises to be intelligent, fun and exciting with multiple themes and genres; drama, comedy, action films and social-political works that will challenge our way of viewing the world.



And for the first time, BAPFF provides a festival showcase for the APSA-nominated films - that's about 40 of the best films chosen for the Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival, including multi-award winners.
