Festival Cinema Nouvelle Generation Lyon
The 8th International Festival “Cinema Nouvelle Generation” – CNG09, the only festival in France exclusively dedicated to digital cinema, will take place from 22th to 26th of september 2009 in Lyon.
Since 2002, the CNG proposes a new cinema to the public, a cinema born after the digital revolution. Nowadays the cinema is democratized. Almost everyone has the possibility to make a film without financial or technical restraints. With seven editions experience, the CNG especially wants to address young filmmakers. Now, the Festival CNG has to pay less attention to the digital support than to the generation of filmmakers who rose from it. Thanks to digital technology, they could create a new cinema, released and inventive, closer to the public’s tastes and expectations.
For the next edition, we are calling for digitally shot films, as well full-length films as middle-lenght or short films.
