The 5th International Uranium Film Festival Call For Entries

Founded in 2010 in Rio de Janeiro the International Uranium Film Festival has become the world's premier film event about nuclear power. The festival welcomes any film with nuclear, uranium, radioactive or atomic background: Movie, Documentary, Animation, Music Clip, Experimental, Fiction and Non-Fiction, Shorts and Features. Films about nuclear desasters like Three Mile Island, Chernobyl or Fukushima; films about nuclear scientists like Marie Curie, Enrico Fermi, Otto Hahn or Albert Einstein; movies like the legendary “The China Syndrome”: all are welcomed. The films need not to be new productions, they can have been produced at any time. The festival honours the best and most interesting films with its “Yellow Oscar Award”.

For non-competition screenings the festival also accepts so called Image Films (corporate-sponsored, educational and branded films) produced by or for companies, institutions and NGOs about all nuclear issues. The next International Uranium Film Festival is scheduled for April 2015. Visiting filmmakers, panel discussions, and student screenings are highlights.

Deadline for the film entry: November 1st, 2014. There is no entry fee. Please visit our Call for Entries page.
