ÉCU is proud to announce our new
partnership with the international film festival VIEWfest that is based
in Turin, Italy! Please read over their call for submissions below and
remember to submit your films by September 15, 2011. You can find more

VIEWFest is an international festival on 3D cinema and animation, organized every year by VIEW Conference,
that screens important world previews, the best of 3D production,
retrospectives, movies, shorts, video clips, music, workshops for
schools and exclusive events. Not only this, VIEWFest also shows the
best of the international animation festivals such as SIGGRAPH, thanks
to a network that is becoming larger every year and covers Holland to
Greece, Germany to USA; and now Turin is the Italian corner of this
network. VIEWFest offers independent productions the opportunity of an
international audience and, at the same time, brings to Turin the best
of the International production.
Every year VIEWFest promotes two contests: ITALIANMIX and
YOUTH ITALIANMIX. The competitions call for INNOVATIVE, CREATIVE and
INSPIRING works by Italian filmmakers or by foreign filmmakers, who have
Italy or Italian subjects as their topics; the selected ones will be
included in the VIEWFest’s screening programme and in the DVD
“ITALIANMIX”. The contest welcomes works in all genres and visual forms;
an exciting and unique opportunity addressed to Italian filmmakers,
digital artists, and other creative professionals, to gain valuable
exposure for their works in an international professional venue. For
YOUTH ITALIANMIX, all the participants must be younger than 32 years old
and resident in Italy.
As you can see, VIEWFest, the Italian
evolution of Resfest (the successful global touring digital film

VIEWFest est un festival international des films et dessins animés en 3D, organisé chaque année par VIEW Conférence,
qui projette des avant-premières mondiales importantes, le meilleur de
la production 3D, des rétrospectives, des films, des court-métrages, des
vidéos, de la musique et organise des ateliers pour les écoles et des
événements exclusifs. En plus, VIEWFest montre le meilleur des festivals
d’animation internationaux, comme, par exemple, SIGGRAPH, grâce au
réseau qui devient plus large chaque année et qui est maintenant étendu
des Pays-Bas jusqu’à la Grèce, de l’Allemagne jusqu’aux États-Unis; et
maintenant Turin est le coin italien de ce réseau. VIEWFest offre aux
productions indépendantes une possibilité d’être montrées au public
international et en même temps apporte à Turin les meilleurs exemples de
la production internationale.
Chaque année VIEWFest promeut deux concours: ITALIANMIX et
YOUTH ITALIANMIX. Les concours font appel aux œuvres INNOVANTES,
CREATIVES ET EXALTANTES par cinéastes italiens ou étrangers qui prennent
l’Italie ou des thèmes italiens pour le sujet; les œuvres sélectionnées
vont être inclues dans la programmation de projection et dans le DVD
“ITALIANMIX”. Le concours accueille des films de tous genres et formes
visuelles; c’est une possibilité exaltante et unique adressée aux
cinéastes, artistes numériques et d’autres professionnels créatifs
italiens d’obtenir une couverture médiatique si valable pour leurs
œuvres sur un lieu professionnelle et internationale. Pour participer à
YOUTH ITALIANMIX, il faut avoir moins de 32 ans et résider en Italie.
Comme vous voyez, VIEWFest, l’évolution italienne de Resfest (le
festival mondial du cinéma numérique en tournée qui a eu beaucoup de
succès), est différent de tout autre festival: c’est beaucoup plus.
