Chester is pestered by his eccentric friend Billy, who is intent on one goal, to get Chester to kill himself. Friends from childhood, the tension between Billy and Chester probably has something to do with jealousy over a girl, but it's hard to tell.

Hannah’s parents are divorced. Her father is from Argentina and her mother is Dutch. Hannah is a dreamer. She loves to dance and adores her father. For Hannah dancing and her father are two things that belong together.
Her father Nano feels miserable in The Netherlands ever since he divorced Hannah’s mother. He is homesick and wants to go back to his family and friends in Buenos Aires. But leaving The Netherlands also means saying goodbye to his daughter.
After the divorce of her parents Hannah’s mother started a relationship with a new man. He lives with them now. Hannah gets along with him, yet she misses her father a lot. By listening to her father’s tango music she can still dance with him in her mind.

Derry, Northern Ireland: Roy Arbuckle decides it’s time to challenge one of the monstrosities left by the war: fear. He wants to reunite his former Showband, The Signetts and his formers musicians, now in their seventies, organizing a major dance night and get Protestants and Catholics dancing together again in The Fountain, a dying Protestant ghetto. A colourful, melancholic and ironic musical journey through a ghetto that, even if it find itself in its last dance, it doesn’t want to miss a single step of it

The women learn to value friendship over the lures of fashion pitfalls and enjoy life's simplicities in the end.

Le parcours de la jeunesse d’aujourd’hui dans un monde où devenir artiste tient du défi quotidien.
