Tobbot Films

Tobbot Films is a small North Carolina Company that tells stories about hte human spirit.  Some are wonderful and pretty and full of sunshine and rainbows...Some are not.  With the recent loss of the North Carolina Film Incentives, a lot of filmmakers are out of work.  We have projects that we believe in and they take place here in SouthEastern North Carolina.  The dedication that Tobbot brings to telling stories and finding honesty in those stories will touch the human spirit...That's our goal.

About the Director:

J.R. has only one directing credit(All In A Day's Work) in the realm of film but has directed over 80 plays.  He has also written 4 other screen plays...J.R. moved back to North Carolina after running a theatre company in Michigan for 4 years in 2013.  He moved back to make his movies with the incredible film community housed there, especially in his hometown of Wilmington, NC.  When Governor McCrory decided the money of The Koch Brothers and the Cathay Family was more important than the jobs of people that lived in Wilmington, J.R> decided to stay with the out of work film makers to make a go of it.  Since 2014 there has been a ground swell in independent films and now his script is part of the wave.  He has a wonderful group of filmmakers that are attached to his movie and now the fundraiser begins...
