LANDLORDS SUCK!

While this isn't as much a blog entry of cinematic interest, it will explain my being remiss for the past few weeks.  When it rains, it TORNADOS!

In the past month, a culmination of insanity came to a head and we were forced to move from a place we’ve lived in for four years.  (meaning, lots of crap to relocate.)

When I say ‘forced,’ I don’t mean by guns or big men with tree trunks for limbs, I mean our landlord made it abundantly clear in the language of finance, we were no longer welcome.

And basically, the decision between, “would you rather be right or happy?” was the real deciding factor.

While I loathe moving more than giving birth to a colicky wildebeest, just knowing that my days, having to deal with this, for lack of a better word, person, were numbered, suited me just fine.  I’d elaborate more, however, its all going in my stand up act, so you’ll have to suffer it live rather than simply read.

All that being said, I also produced, promoted and wrote material for a show in Santa Barbara with Doug Stanhope as my headliner.

This ALL coincided with the Independent Spirit Awards and although you’re probably all over it by now, have read whatever you think you needed to read, I’m still going to post more things and send abundant apologies to the Indy Spirit People for my life getting in the way of my work…albeit a free gig! I hear people actually get paid to write, but I’ve not seen evidence of it in my own personal life.  Oh woe is me, I am woe.  There, is that pitiful enough?

Anyway, next week, I’ll post more videos, more entries and do all the catching up one does when life runs amok.

Thanks for checking in, inthe mean time and by the way, if you run over my landlord, er, em, I mean run into … don’t feel bad, she deserved it!
