What Are You Waiting For?

The LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival is the brainchild of Gary Anthony Williams, Jeannie Roshar, Ryan Higman and Kelly Frazier. Unlike many festivals, they’ve stayed true to their vision of an intimate festival that cultivates talent and provides realistic opportunities for filmmakers. If you’re looking for other twisted brains while indulging in great beers and excellent food, this festival is the best!

One of the most appealing qualities of this festival is the ability to network. Sat in the lobby abuzz with inspiring conversation about craft and content, I witness as creative types chat each other up and can’t help but appreciate the total lack of bullshit. And that goes for the films as well. The quality of these films is stunning and I’ve enjoyed one film after the next, making choice difficult when it comes to summing up a favorite.

If you’re a first time, or long time, filmmaker looking to make your mark, this festival has all the markings of success. The talent pool overflows even if comedy isn’t your thing. It’s advised that if you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful, talented people. You’d be crazy not to make a point to go to the Downtown Independent Theater 251S. Main Street, Los Angeles and enjoy the experience.
