THE FESTIVALS' FAVOURITES
Those films from around the world have something that makes an impression in festivals:
Shoplifters by Hirokazu Kore-eda (Japan), winner of the Palme d’or at Cannes;
Capharnauum by Nadine Labaki (Lebanon) - it creates emotion into the publics and critics;
Trois Faces by Jafar Panahi (Iran) – that comes back three years after Taxi Téhéran;
Woman at War by Benedikt Erlingsson (Icelande) – a woman in her fifties becomes an environmental activist determined to bring down heavy industry;
The House that Jack Built by Lars von Trier (Denmark);
Au poste! the off-the-wall black comedy by French filmmaker/ musician Quentin Dupieux (aka Mr. Oizo) who's back at FNC and will present a show at SAT.

MADE IN QUEBEC
Complementing this international selection are three diverse but equally compelling Quebec features:
Genesis by Philippe Lesage, three years after The Demons. With Théodore Pellerin, Noée Abita, Mylène Mackay, Pier-Luc Funk, Maxime Dumontier and Paul Ahmarani;
Ville Neuve by Félix Dufour-Laperrière, well-known at FNC, he created a FNC'S Carte Blanche. An animated film featuring voice work by Paul Ahmarani, Gildor Roy and Johanne-Marie Tremblay;
The Far Shore (Dérive), David Uloth and Chloé Cinq-Mars’ feature début, starring Mélissa Désormeaux-Poulin, Maèva Tremblay, Éléonore Loiselle, Émilie Bierre and Réal Bossé.

AUGUST 17TH, 2018 | APPEL DE CANDIDATURES
JURY DES P'TITS LOUPS
Pour une 3e année consécutive, la sélection de courts-métrages des P'tits loups 2018 fera l'objet d'une compétition et nous constituerons donc un jeune jury composé de 3 à 5 enfants pour décerner la Louve des P’tits loups.
CONDITIONS POUR REJOINDRE LE JURY :

Avoir entre 8 et 12 ans.
-
Avoir une passion pour l'image en mouvement et être à l'aise de l'exprimer à l'oral comme à l'écrit.

Être disponible les samedis 6 et 13 octobre 2018 pour visionner les oeuvres en compétition, puis distinguer la meilleure d'entre elles lors de notre cérémonie officielle de Remise des prix le samedi 13 octobre à 19h.

Nous faire parvenir un texte rédigé autour de la question : « Pourquoi j’aime le cinéma?».

Creators are invited to submit proposals for the production of films up to 7 minutes.
If you are selected, the trip will take you from Haifaff to FNC!
Deadline for submission is Sunday, September 2nd.
