Wondering about the ÉCU hand?

You may have noticed that we sneakily changed
our graphics for ÉCU 2011 and you may have asked yourself, “What the…?” Well
let us explain.  The ÉCU Team realizes that making an independent film is
a lonely venture and The ÉCU Hand symbolises the festival’s commitment to
letting these talented story-tellers know that ‘You are not alone’ and that ÉCU
stands as a beacon of support for aspiring filmmakers. To compliment the new
graphics, ÉCU 2011’s tag-line will be “Celebrating the filmmakers who are out
there on their own”.  So now you know :)

Vous avez sans doute remarqué que nous ons
changé nos graphiques pour ÉCU 2011 et vous avez vous-même demandé, "Ce
qui se passe...? Eh bien, laissez-nous vous expliquer. L'équipe d'ÉCU sait que
faire un film est une aventure solitaire, et La Main ÉCU symbolise l'engagement
du festival à montrer à ces conteurs qu'ils ne sont pas seuls et qu'ÉCU
réaffirme son soutien aux réalisateurs. Une nouvelle devise complètera le
nouveau style graphique : “Un coup de projecteur sur les talents de demain.”
