2020 has tested our ability to navigate dramatic changes in how we live, connect with our families, earn wages, walk safely and discern truth from lies.  For investigative journalists and filmmakers, long standing challenges have grown in tandem with their role as the public’s eyes and ears, charged with revealing the hidden truths of these extraordinary times. 

Double Exposure will meet you there. We have doubled the number of panel discussions, master classes and workshops to provide useful tools and connections for these times.  As an online event, DX2020 offers added flexibility and increased opportunities to connect and engage with a global community of filmmakers and journalists.  

With five days, a dozen new investigative films, over 30 panels, workshops and master classes, expect a deep dive with experts on safety and security in the field, interrogations into race and power, fundraising in the age of COVID-19, fact-checking, verifying and incorporating citizen-generated content and more. Hot off the press, we’ll have a new survival guide on contracts for indie filmmakers and freelancers, plus sessions on craft, including podcasting, music scoring, and taking print investigations into film and audio.
