The LRFF is one of the most competitive film festivals in the country. Founded by Award winning Filmmakers Brent and Craig Renaud, the LRFF is one of the most competitive festivals in the country and each accepted film receives travel and accommodation support. LRFF showcases the best international films and the best in narrative, documentary, and short films from around the World. Recent LRFF prize winners/alums have included Dirty Wars, Short Term 12, Kill Team, These Birds Walk, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Winters Bone, Another Earth, Tiny Furniture, Breaking Upwards, Natural Selection, That Evening Sun, The Interrupters, Restrepo, High Tech Low Life, and Invisible War.

Last year more than 25,000 people attended with over 100 films screened positioning the LRFF as one of the “25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” by MovieMaker Magazine for the second time in a row.
