Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India (www.vigyanprasar.gov.in ) is organizing National Science Film Festival and Competition (RVCM) in collaboration with Jahangirabad Media Institute (www.jmi.edu.in ) on 4-7 January 2011. The festival is being organised as a part of Indian Science Congress at SRM University, Chennai. The festival is a unique event for science film makers. Through the festival they can showcase films in front of an eminent audience of Scientists, Science Communicators and Science Policy Makers from around the world. We are looking forward to create a platform for scientists and science communicators to think, share and contribute to the emerging world of science film making. This venture will go a long way forward to create a scientifically conscious media in India.
