In 1975 our Executive Director co-Founded Facets Multimedia and the Chicago International Children's Film Festival and served as Artistic Director there until 2009 before starting the ICMC in January 2010. The International Children's Media Center (ICMC) is dedicated to promoting media literacy and engagement for children growing up in a modern, screen-filled age. The ICMC curates and produces a number of festivals and events including:

BAMKids Film Festival 2012 – Now in its 14th year the BKFF sells out 3-4 weeks in advance at the prestigious Brooklyn Academy of Music. The BKFF attracts NY Times press and eight thousand children in two days! Shorts and features for ages 2-11. February 2-5 ICFilmFest 2011-2012 – This unique festival will bring international short films to underserved schools throughout Chicago and the Midwest. Includes screenings in ICMC media education programs. Ages 2-14. My First Media – A multi-week program of select short films screened with curriculum for preschools, elementary schools. Ages 2-9.
