CALLING ALL FUNNY FILMMAKERS! L.A.'s COMEDY NINJA FILM AND SCREENPLAY FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES CALL FOR ENTRIES

Los Angeles, CA – Margin Films announced today a Call for Entries for its recently formed COMEDY NINJA Film and Screenplay Festival (May 30 - June 01, 2014). The fun-filled event, which will be held in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, will be accepting submissions in all categories including comedy features, shorts, and screenplays. Filmmakers and screenwriters can find all submission information on the festival website www.comedyninja.org

All comedy genres are welcome to submit. Films in progress will be considered as long as all post production work will be completed before the festival. The festival has no requirement for a completion date or premiere status and projects may have distribution. Feature-length films should be 50 to 120 minutes in length. Short films should be under 50 minutes. Feature-length screenplays should be 80 to 120 pages. Short screenplays should be 30 pages or less.

Regular Submission Deadline is February 03, 2014
Late Submission Deadline is Marcy 20, 2014
WAB Extended Submission Deadline is April 20, 2014
Notification Date is April 30, 2014

About the Comedy Ninja Film Festival:
COMEDY NINJA Film and Screenplay Festival aims to be an uproarious three-day comedy free-for-all that will have audiences rolling in the aisles as it showcases the funniest work of comedic performers, directors, and writers from around the globe.

Besides showing a bunch of rib-tickling films, COMEDY NINJA Film and Screenplay Festival will feature hysterical performances by stand-up comedians, surprise celebrity appearances, and a rocking opening night party. There will also be a closing night ceremony where COMEDY NINJA Awards will be handed out in all categories and much, much more.

The COMEDY NINJA Film and Screenplay Festival is being presented by seasoned filmmakers Quentin Lee (”The People I’ve Slept With,” “White Frog”) and Chuck Parello (”Ed Gein,” “The Hillside Strangler”). Veterans of many film festivals themselves, Lee and Parello are looking to provide an unpretentious and memorably fun event for filmmakers that will allow them to network with industry insiders as their gut-busting work is shown to an appreciative audience. About the COMEDY NINJA Film Festival Quentin Lee states, "We want to celebrate the things that make people laugh the hardest, to show distinctively hilarious films from distinctively off-the-wall perspectives. This festival will be all about comedy with a kung fu kick."
