Cars In Film Film Festival 2012 starts at the End of Route 66 on the Santa Monica Pier with film screenings and symposia spread throughout the city's historical theaters and landmarks. Gala presentations are right on the Red Carpet covered Pier above the "Film Famous" sandy Santa Monica Beach before a larger than life screen! Projected as one of the largest and most highly attended film festivals in the State of California, with up to 150 feature and short, narrative and documentary films CIFF expects an audience of over 24,000 in its first year, and plans to be cited as one of the best “audience festivals” in the world.

The Greater Los Angeles area’s love for film (this area sees more movies per capita than any other in the nation) makes this the most appropriate setting for new films to be seen, tested, and celebrated by everyone—film fan and filmmaker alike. The Festival is positioned as a highly anticipated event portraying leadership in our ever-growing vibrant arts and film community. While exposing the best in national and international film and talent, CIFF is dedicated to fostering and showcasing the creative genius of those working and creating the film product for which our film industry is so well know.
