The Dominican Global Film Festival is a unique international experience in the world of film festivals given its multi-city character. With its nerve center in the Dominican capital, Santo Domingo, it goes on simultaneously in other places on the island of Hispaniola. This way, inhabitants in Santiago, Puerto Plata, Nagua, Cap Cana and even Port au Prince in neighboring Haiti are all part of the festival and enjoy the opportunity to not only see great films but to be part of ongoing discussions, through film, about social, political and economic issues.
