A key music world calendar event, Indie Week is embracing sight and sound with a companion program – the Reel Indie Film Festival.
The second edition of the festival takes place October 14th – 19th, 2014 in Toronto, a filmmaker’s mecca and media launchpad for some of the industry’s brightest young talent. This year the festival grows to include 2 more features, shorts and music videos.
RiFF seeks to cover the gamut of musical inspiration, from the teenage dream of following in the footsteps of the Rolling Stones, to using music as a platform for one’s thoughts and beliefs. Films that make us think, that move us, and that capture the essence of a band or song.
The Northern Wave International Film Festival will be celebrated from the 2th to the 4th of March 2012
in Grundarfjörður, Iceland. The philosophy of the festival, upon which
its name is based, is Nouvelle Vague, or New Wave. Like Nouvelle Vague,
Northern Wave attempts to revive the recognition of film making as an
art form and the director as artist/author. An important goal of the
festival is to develop relationships between experienced filmmakers and
emerging filmmakers in Iceland and other countries. We are a visionary
festival that celebrates artistic and ground braking films by filmmakers
who dare to take risks.
Director: Tom Sands.
Taking inspiration from Berlin: Die Sinfonie der Großstadt by Walter Ruttmann, this is a symphony of a great city: Brighton. It seeks to show the city is more than just the sum of its parts. Everything is connected. This is the film that Walter Ruttmann would have made if he had access to sound recorders and lived in Brighton in 2010.
Do you want your short film to be seen in Iceland?
Then you've got 5 days to get your film ready and send it.
The Northern Wave film festival deadline is due on the 1st of December.
Don't miss it!
