The 2nd East Doc Platform (EDP) edition is the largest Central and East European documentary event held March in Prague, 2013, organized by the Institute of Documentary Film. It is the meeting point for 120 East European filmmakers and producers who seek creative, financial and distribution support, and more than 70 key international festival programmers, commissioning editors, buyers, distributors, sales agents, film fund and organization representatives who will be able to choose from some of the most promising films and projects in Central and Eastern Europe.The event is organized by the Institute of Documentary Film In association with the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival
East Doc Platform draws from the unique representation of key international documentary professionals who are, in non-exclusive setting, available for informal meetings to every participant as well as accredited observers. East Doc Platform helps quality creative documentaries to fine-tune their story and visual style, and find suitable partners for co-production and distribution. East Doc Platform is designed for documentary professionals with projects in the development, production, and post-production stage, and for professionals with completed films.
Some 2,850 films from 77 countries were submitted to this year's International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, among them 2,200 documentaries and 650 animated films. The number of entries is down slightly from last years, when DOK Leipzig received a record
3,012 entries. The 55th edition of DOK Leipzig will take place from 29 October to 4 November 2012.

The curtain rose on the 14th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival - Images of the 21st Century on Friday, March 9, 2012 in the packed Olympion Theater. DOX BOX started as an initiative of independent filmmakers, back in 2007 as the first non-profit and open-to-public creative documentary film festival in Syria. DOX BOX runs annually in Damascus, Tartous and Homs during the first two weeks of March. DOX BOX tours in other Arab cities as part of a Pan-Arab Cultural Network.
Because DOX BOX is targeting the general youth public, all of film-screenings and public activities are completely free of charge.
The main mission of DOX BOX is to be a platform for both the Arab and the International filmmaking individuals and institutions to meet with the general public and see some of the world’s best creative documentaries and to get engaged in rich activities though a friendly and dynamic environment.
In its 3rd edition in 2010, DOX BOX received more than 21000 admissions, more than 200 unique press reviews and 80 international guests, confirming its position as the region's leading documentary film fest.
