When the Roxbury International Film Festival (RIFF) began in 1999,
our goal was to celebrate films that were written, produced and
directed by filmmakers of color. In addition, we hoped to provide a
much-needed venue for audiences to view some of these inspiring films
and interact with the filmmakers who created them. More than a decade
later, we continue to build upon the rich legacy we have established
for the international film and local arts communities.
RIFF
is the largest regional film festival of its kind. With each passing
year, we have grown more powerful in our impact on film and the arts in
New England and attracting filmmakers and audiences from far and wide.
