Paolo Bertolin

Paolo Bertolin est un programmateur de festival, critique de cinéma et producteur, qui vit entre l’Europe et l’Asie. Ces dix dernières années, il a été membre du comité de sélection du Festival de Venise, puis son consultant régional chargé de territoires, tels l’Asie du Sud-Est, le sous-continent indien, l’Océanie, la Turquie et la Corée du Sud. Il travaille ou a travaillé pour plusieurs festivals et institutions cinématographiques, y compris le Festival International de Rotterdam, le Doha Film Institute, le Festival de Locarno, Udine Far East Film Festival, Visions du Réel, la Semaine de la Critique à Cannes, et les Festivals Internationaux de Mumbai, Beijing, Hanoï et Bratislava.

Paolo Bertolin is a festival programmer, film writer and producer equally splitting his time between Asia and Europe. For the past ten years, he has served as member of the selection committee first, and then as regional consultant for the Venice Film Festival, covering such diverse territories as South East Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Oceania, Turkey and South Korea. He has worked or still works for several international festivals and film institutions, including IFFRotterdam, Doha Film Institute, Locarno Festival, Udine Far East Film Festival, Nyon Visions du Réel, Cannes’ Critics’ Week, Mumbai IFF, Beijing IFF, Hanoi IFF, IFF Bratislava.

Anne Delseth

Anne Delseth a étudié le journalisme à Fribourg (Suisse) où elle intègre l’équipe du Festival international de Films de Fribourg. Titulaire d’un Master en management culturel, elle a également travaillé en tant qu’assistante de production pour des films d’Ursula Meier et de Jean-Stéphane Bron. Adjointe à la direction artistique du festival de Fribourg (2008-2011), en 2011 elle travaille aux ventes internationales pour Urban Distribution. Membre du comité de sélection de la Quinzaine des Réalisateurs depuis 2012, elle a rejoint le comité de sélection du Festival de Locarno pour l’édition de 2018. Responsable du Master cinéma de l’ECAL (Lausanne) et de la HEAD (Genève), elle dirige une salle de cinéma d’art et d’essai à Lausanne. Elle est également consultante pour le Festival du film Fantastique de Neuchâtel et le Festival de Zürich.

Anne Delseth studied journalism in Fribourg, Switzerland, also earning a Master’s degree in Cultural Management. She worked for the Fribourg International Film Festival and as a production assistant on films by Ursula Meier and Jean-Stéphane Bron. From 2008 to 2011, she was assistant to the artistic director of the Fribourg Festival; in 2011 she worked in international sales at Urban Distribution. A member of the Directors’ Fortnight selection committee since 2012, she joined the selection committee of the Locarno Festival for the 2018 edition. She directs the HEAD (Geneva) and ECAL Master’s in Film Studies in Lausanne, where she also runs an arthouse cinema. Anne Delseth is also a consultant for the Neuchâtel Fantastic Film Festival and the Zürich Film Festival.

Claire Diao

Claire Diao est une journaliste et critique de cinéma franco-burkinabè, Elle a initié en 2013 le programme itinérant de courts métrages Quartiers Lointains diffusé entre la France, les Etats-Unis et plusieurs pays d’Afrique, co- fondé en 2015 la revue panafricaine de cinéma Awotele et créé fin 2016 la société de distribution de films d’Afrique et de la diaspora Sudu Connexion. En 2017 elle publie l’essai Double Vague, le nouveau souffle du cinéma français, aux éditions Au Diable Vauvert pour lequel elle reçoit la médaille Beaumarchais 2018 de la SACD. Animatrice des Expressos du Festival international du court métrage de Clermont-Ferrand, Claire Diao est chroniqueuse dans l’émission Le Cercle sur Canal + Cinémas, dans le JT Afrique de TV5 Monde et présentera les films de la chaîne France Ô à partir de septembre 2018.

Claire Diao is a French-Burkinabe journalist and film critic. In 2013, she started the itinerant Quartiers Lointains short film programme, which is shown in France, the United States and several countries in Africa. In 2015, she co-founded Awotele the pan African film periodical and in 2016 formed Sudu Connexion, the distribution company for films from Africa and the African diaspora. Her 2017 essay, «Double Wave, the New Life of French Cinema» published by Au Diable Vauvert, won her the SACD’s 2018 Beaumarchais Medal. She is a moderator of the morning debates of the International Short Film Festival of Clermont-Ferrand and a film commentator on “Le Cercle” on the Canal + “Cinémas” channel; on the news broadcast of “Afrique” on TV5 Monde, and will be the presenter of films shown on the France Ô channel starting in September 2018.

Valentina Novati

Valentina Novati est née à Paris en 1981. Après un DEA en sémiologie du texte et de l’image, elle commence à travailler dans la production, sur les films de Thierry Jousse, Erick Zonca, Eva Ionesco, entre autres. Elle crée en 2010 la société Independencia, qui à partir de 2014 se détachera en deux entités distinctes : Norte Productions et Norte Distribution. Elle a produit une quinzaine de films, dont ceux de Luc Moullet, André S.Labarthe, Antoine d’Agata, Verena Paravel et Lucien Castaing-Taylor, et en a distribué une trentaine.

Valentina Novati was born in Paris in 1981. After earning a Master’s in Semiology of Text and Image, she began working in production, on the films of Thierry Jousse, Erick Zonca, Eva Ionesco, among others. In 2010, she founded Independencia; the company divided into two distinct entities, Norte Productions and Norte Distribution in 2014. She has produced fifteen films, including films by Luc Moullet, André S. Labarthe, Antoine d’Agata, Verena Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor, and has distributed about thirty films.

Morgan Pokée

Morgan Pokée a suivi des études d’économie à Nantes et il a travaillé dans différents établissements cinématographiques avant d’écrire sur le cinéma en collaborant notamment à la revue en ligne Critikat et à la revue La Septième Obsession. Il est cofondateur en 2012 de Répliques, revue d’entretiens autour du cinéma. Entre septembre 2015 et mars 2016, il est coordinateur-adjoint de l’Association des Cinémas de l’Ouest pour la Recherche. Chargé d’enseignement à l’Université de Rennes 2 en 2016, il anime des ateliers autour de la critique et intervient régulièrement dans les salles pour des modérations et des rencontres. Depuis juin 2016, il est le programmateur du cinéma Le Concorde de La Roche-sur-Yon et conseiller de programmation pour le Festival International du Film de La Roche-sur-Yon.

After studying economics at Nantes, Morgan Pokée worked in various cinema-related institutions before beginning a career as a film writer, notably for the online publication Critikat and the bimonthly magazine La Septième Obsession. In 2012, he co-founded Répliques, a magazine of cinema-related interviews. From Between 2015 and 2016, he was the deputy coordinator of the arthouse cinema association ACOR. Lecturer at the Rennes University in 2016, he leads film criticism workshops and introduces and moderates screenings on a regular basis. Since June 2016, he has been the film programmer of Le Concorde arthouse cinema in La Roche-sur-Yon, and program advisor for the La Roche-sur-Yon International Film Festival.
