A l’occasion du bicentenaire de Nova Friburgo, une délégation d’étudiant-e-s du bachelor cinéma de l’ECAL (Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne) est partie à Nova Friburgo pour y réaliser des courts métrages. A leur tour, 4 réalisatrices et réalisateurs de Nova Friburgo seront présent-e-s pendant le FIFF et réaliseront des courts métrages. Lors de cette table ronde, les réalisateurs et réalisatrices témoigneront de leurs expériences en Suisse et au Brésil et parleront des liens et échanges entre les deux pays depuis la fondation de Nova Friburgo.

Le FIFF, Festival International de Films de Fribourg poursuit les initiatives lancées lors des dernières éditions afin d’encourager et de promouvoir la relève du cinéma suisse. Pour la deuxième fois, un prix de CHF 1 000, soutenu par E-CHANGER et Fribourg-Solidaire, est décerné par un jury d’invité-e-s de la section Nouveau territoire. Il récompense le meilleur film d’un programme de courts métrages issus des hautes écoles suisses de cinéma.

Anlässlich der 200-Jahrfeier der Gründung von Nova Friburgo ist eine Gruppe des Bachelorstudiengangs Film der ECAL (Ecole cantonale d’art de Lausanne) nach Nova Friburgo aufgebrochen, um dort Kurzfilme zu drehen. Während des FIFF werden ihrerseits 4 Regisseurinnen und Regisseure aus Nova Friburgo hier in Freiburg Ihre Kurzfilme drehen. Bei dieser Diskussionsrunde werden die Filmemacher/innen über ihre Erfahrungen in der Schweiz und in Brasilien berichten und über die Verbindungen und den Austausch zwischen den beiden Ländern seit der Gründung von Nova Friburgo sprechen.

Das FIFF setzt die anlässlich der letzten Ausgaben begonnenen Bestrebungen zur Förderung des Schweizer Filmnachwuchses fort. Zum zweiten Mal vergibt eine aus Filmemacherinnen und Filmemachern bestehende Jury der Sektion Neues Territorium einen durch E-CHANGER und Solidarisches Freiburg geförderten Preis von CHF 1 000. Im Rahmen eines Kurzfilmprogramms wird der beste, von Studierenden der Schweizer Filmhochschulen gedrehte Film ausgezeichnet.

The FIFF is continuing the initiatives launched at previous festivals to encourage and promote awareness of Swiss cinema. For the second time, a prize of 1,000 Swiss francs, sponsored by E-CHANGER and Fribourg Solidaire, will be awarded by a jury of guests from the New Territory section. It will be awarded to the best of a programme of short films from Switzerland's film schools.
