Buick Riviera
“Buick Riviera” directed by Croatian Goran Rusinovic, this year’s winner of Sarajevo’s Heart of Sarajevo Award is certainly interesting piece of work (it is produced by Propeler Film www.propelerfilm.com). In a way it’s a classic art house film supported with terrific crew Slavko Stimac and Leon Lucev - the winners of A Best Actors Award.
Visual effects of the film are wonderful, as well as inward psychological game. “Buic Riviera” is a film about two immigrants of different ethnic groups from Bosnia. One night on snowy USA road, they meet and spend next 24 hours embarking on a psychological game of mutual accusation which will change their life. This one night represents the civil war in Bosnia as well as difficult post war situation that arouses many questions.
