Launched in 2003 by the City of Paris and chaired by actress Charlotte Rampling, Paris Cinema International Film Festival is targeted as an annual democratic and off-beat event.
It takes place each year in the summer in over 10 different cinema theatres and cultural centres and grows every year with record attendance. It is a unique and popular event for the Parisians, a real festival all over the city.
It aims at discovering new talents as well as exploring a wide range of cinematic styles and includes a selection of international films in competition, a series of premieres and sidebar programs, tributes to prominent names of the 7th Art and foreign cinematographies, workshops, panels, outdoor and special events, and a coproduction platform (Paris Project) intended for professionals from all over the world.
The 11th edition of Paris Cinema IFF will take place from June 28 to July 9, 2013.
