SIYFF makes a new spot of culture-complex where everyone from children to the elderly can communicate through experiencing the festival and enjoying the films, breaking generation gaps and cultural boundaries.
The most distinguishing aspect of SIYFF's screening program, besides the invitation programs of children, family and coming-of-age feature films, is that it promotes teenagers' filmmaking through the competition program dedicated to short films which are made by teenagers from thirteen to eighteen years old. SIYFF also runs a pre-production fund program to support teenaged directors in Korea.
