The idea for Short Film Connection was born in Switzerland in 2014 and ever since its inception, a global team of individuals have been working together to realize the common goal of building a great short film website.

Collectively, we have extensive experience in organizing short film festivals and producing film shorts as well. In addition, we’re great believers in the power of Internet and our aim is to explore news production & distribution models for short films.

Our plan is to develop the website in two phases. The goal for the first phase is to develop an audience by providing a select and thorough collection of short films and short film festivals, both of which provide as many useful details as possible. The films list can be easily filtered, ordered, and search enabling viewers to quickly find viewing material. The festivals list was specifically designed to be a tool for short film producers to schedule call for entries and for festivals to maximize their number of entries. In addition to these benefits, we also aim to provide useful articles, tips and relevant commentary on happenings in the world of short film via our blog.

With the second phase of the website, we’d like to offer all the players in the world of short film production (directors, actors and actresses, technicians, rental companies, studio labs, and film schools) the opportunity to create a personal profile and connect with others. The overall objective would be to evolve from content collecting into connecting everyone involved with short film and to build a comprehensive short film community.
