Whilst the world cebrates a century of cinema and film indulgement,
millions of South Africans, especially audiences in townships are still
without acccess to many films produced by African filmmakers over
more than 85 years of film development on the African continent.
Ekurhuleni Film Festival was created to bridge the gap between filmmaker
and its local audience by creating a platform for filmmakers to showcase
their film products, be it short films, animation, features,
documentaries and music videos and experimental films.
