Margaret River Shorts is an international short film festival based in Margaret River, in the Southwest of Western Australia.  

 

We have awards in 5 categories with big cash prizes.

Best Film - AU$5000.00. - Open to all films under 15minutes long.

Best Southwest Film - AU$2500.00 - Award given to the best film created by a resident of, about or in the Southwest of WA.

Best Grommet Film - AU$1000.00  Best Film ostensibly created by persons under the age of 18.

Best Surf/Sports Film -  AU$1000.00 Best Film which has content significantly to do with surf or any sport.

Best Audience Reaction - The film to have recieved the most significant and powerful audience reaction as judged by the Margaret River Shorts Judges.

 

Margaret River Shorts is currently open for entries.  Entries close on February 11 2011.

 

Margaret River Shorts is a celebration of the art of film making. Margaret River Shorts is dedicated to screening and rewarding films from all around the world in such a way as to promote, celebrate and create a platform for the appreciation of diversity in art, culture and society.
