Jose Mojica Marins to receive lifetime achievement award at Grossmann 2010

Legendary Brazilian master of horror Jose Mojica Marins will receive the lifetime achievement award at this year's Grossmann Film and Wine Festival, taking place from 26th to 31st of July in Ljutomer, Slovenia. Visitors of the festival will for the first time in Slovenia be able to see a selection of the most important works of this prolific director, writer, actor and producer that will naturally include all three Coffin Joe films!

Other distinguished guests already confirmed for this year's Grossmann are controversial German director, writer and producer Uwe Boll and upcoming genre giants Tom Six (The Human Centipede: First Sequence) and Mladen Djordjević (The Life and Death of Porno Gang). We would also like to inform you that we have extended the deadlines for submissions of short genre films and music documentaries to our Slak's Vicious Cat and Noisy Cat competitions, respectively, to the 10th of July. This year we also introduce the fabulous Grossmann Discount Card that will enable our visitors with even easier access to all our events and other riches and landmarks of the wine growing region of Prlekija. We also still accept applications for our film workshop Little Workshop of Horrors, as well as for the incredible Monster Party that will spread panic through the streets of Ljutomer on the 31st of July. And then there's the incredibly rich music program featuring legendary Slovenian industrial pioneers Laibach and French gore'n'rollers Banane Metalik & other artists, numerous wine tasting events featuring exquisite wines of the region, the dreadful Torture Garden, the vibrant Subculture Fair and much more!
