Planning a first time Film Festival

Yeah. Right. This was supposed to be easy thing to put together. Well, it's not one of my normal things that I do. I'm a real estate appraiser and winemaker. I'm a soccer player and I am a motorcycle rider. I’ve never really been a film festival director or film Festival promoter. I thought it would be fairly easy but it's pretty complex.  There’s a lot to it. My friend, Steff is a movie director and writer.He said it can take a couple years going to get it pot together.  And here I thought that I could do it in a few months. Well it’s a little more complicated than a few months but I'm enjoying it There's a lot of information on the Internet on putting a film festival together. Like anything, you have to sort through the crap to get to the good stuff. Best thing I have learned s to leverage your local Chamber of Commerce. Mine has been invaluable.
