Women in Film

Women in the Arts and their involvement in film, live theatre and television appears to be exacerbated with sex and sexual content. This used to make me a bit furious because it appeared men do not have to go to such extremes to sell, get access or the like.

In the wake of American media and marketing, it appears that it is about even but not for the same reasons. Women appear to get sexual to get into the industry or to have better access in the industry, where as men perform sexual jesters, manipulation or the like because there are so many single, successful female falling all over themselves to see a male anatomy.

The old saying, "Sex Sells" is taking on a new meaning, "Sex Sales".  As I adventure in the industry seeking new mediums, photos, personal contact with potential clients, I am amazed at how much I may have to bend into the sex industry just to get a bit of work. I either have to go to interviews dressed provocative, or the persons that may be acting in my productions have to be of a certain sexual  attractiveness to the funder, as it would appear.

Maybe I am wrong and that is possible. Very possible.
