The THREE Brothers Studio is located less than 10 kilometers outside the center of Prague at Hlubocepska, where you can see rugged cliffs not far away, in an enclosed farmstead, restored to its 14th century original state. The 7000 sq meter studios are equipped with 26 different spaces for shooting historical movies and boasts a collection of armoury renowned for its quality.
Arm, Armour and Props
Their armory, also sold at a shop at PRAGUE CASTLE, is one of the greatest European manufacturers of weapons from Antiquity, Middle Ages to the 19th century and was used in films such as : A Knight's Tale, Blade II and Hidalgo.
Replicas are hand-made precise copies of historical artworks. Master craftsmen produce over 1500 products in the workshop.
Exact copies including the material used are more suitable for the filming of details, mainly hard-aluminum models which are might lighter than the original steel ones, thereby more flexible for riding and battling. Special processes are used for the patina and used-look of the armour and weapons.
We were greeted in true hospitality, by the three handsome brothers, Victor, Igor and Vladimir KRISTOF, one knowledgeable nephew and a genial American-in-Prague from Oklahoma - David WEST, in charge of Public Relations for the Historical Movie Specialists Studio.
