European Audiovisual Observatory Afternoon in Cannes

This conference will deal with the latest developments of the VoD markets in Europe as well as examining key legal aspects of VoD distribution.

The presentations:

    by Susan Newman-Baudais, Analyst from the Department for Information on Markets and Financing,

    European Audiovisual Observatory;
  • VIDEO ON DEMAND IN EUROPE

    by André Lange, Head of the Department for Information on Markets and Financing, European Audiovisual Observatory and Laure Kaltenbach, Head of office for economic evaluations and information society, Prime Minister - Directorate for Media Development;
  • DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT and VoD

    by Francisco Cabrera-Blázquez, Analyst from the Department for Legal Information, European Audiovisual Observatory;
  • MAKING POSSIBLE THE ACCESS TO OUR FILM HERITAGE ON VoD: FINDING THE RIGHTS FOR ORPHANED WORKS

    by Stef van Gompel, Institute for Information Law (IViR), University of Amsterdam.

These presentations of the Observatory's latest work will be followed by a discussion round moderated by
