Rooted in the belief that stories have the power to bring people together, the initiative uses film to spark dialogue, deepen understanding, and strengthen communities across Northwest Arkansas.

Made possible through inaugural support from the Walmart Foundation, The Stories We Share builds on more than twelve years of championing inclusive and equitable storytelling through the Bentonville Film Festival. Through free public screenings, facilitated discussions, and partnerships with trusted community organizations, the initiative creates welcoming spaces where community members can come together to explore timely issues, hear diverse perspectives, and foster a greater sense of belonging. ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌     ͏ ‌

The inaugural screening and community conversation featuring Left Behind at the Bentonville Public Library in June marked the launch of this new initiative.

The film shares the inspiring story of a group of determined moms who banded together to establish the first public school for students with dyslexia in New York City. Along with the screening, guests enjoyed a panel moderated by CNN Anchor Erica Hill and featuring filmmaker Anna Toomey, Educational Justice Advocate Kareem Weaver and Co-Founder and Director of the Literary Academy Collective Naomi Peña.

As the series grows, BFFoundation will continue partnering with libraries, cultural institutions, and community organizations to bring compelling films and meaningful dialogue to audiences throughout the region, expanding access to the arts while strengthening the connections that make Northwest Arkansas a vibrant and thriving community.

Stay tuned for our next event coming this November!
