The 15th annual Surfalorus Film Festival is returning to Wilmington August 7-9, bringing three days of inspiring surf films, unforgettable stories, and coastal community celebrations to Wrightsville Beach and Jengo's Playhouse. This year, Surfalorus is proud to partner with the Wahine Classic, one of the East Coast's premier all-female surfing competitions, to celebrate the region's vibrant surf community. Watch the local surfers on the beach during the day then enjoy some gnarly films at night!

Wahine Shorts The festival starts with a free outdoor screening of a shorts block at Surf City Surf Shop in Wrightsville Beach, timed to celebrate the kickoff of the Wahine Classic. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy seven short surf movies including two local films. |
| Jack Johnson: SURFILMUSIC Sat., August 8 / 8:00 PM Jengo's Playhouse This feature documentary traces Jack Johnson’s inspiring journey from making surf videos with friends on Oahu’s North Shore to becoming one of the most recognizable voices in modern music. The short film, Rán: A Scandinavian Surfing Saga by Surfalorus alum Morgan Maassen, will play before the feature. |
