Project Native Environmental Film Festival

Please carefully read the following information about deadlines and submission.

Guidelines

• Film must have been completed after September 1, 2012.

• Films not originally produced in English must be dubbed or subtitled in English

  Be prepared to provide the following:

• Contact information for the submitter/point-­‐person for administrative purposes ONLY

• Film details and a short synopsis (100 word maximum)**

• One (1) image (e.g. screenshots from media -­‐ ideally 1920x1080) for festival program

  and promotions

  Submitting your film for consideration

  You will need to provide a digital copy of your media for upload to Dropbox or send a DVD* to:

  *You are responsible for shipping charges and insurance for your materials.
  
  Project Native will retain all DVD screening copies unless otherwise requested. Those who request the return of screening copies are responsible for return shipping costs and customs clearances to return destinations.

  About the Festival

  For the past four years Project Native has hosted a successful environmental film festival in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. The festival is unique in that it is the only film festival presented free of charge to the community. By making it a free event, we hope to share information about current environmental issue to everyone in our community.

  Our environmental film festival showcases documentaries selected for their artistry and illumination of global issues and actions that impact our future. Each year we select a variety of films that are both educational and entertaining to give people a feeling that environmental solutions are within our grasp and do-­‐able.

  Films are selected for their support of the mission of Project Native to encourage the stewardship of the planet while serving to educate, inspire, enrage and engage viewers. In addition, we seek to show films that have not been widely distributed in the area.
