Festival presentation

      Carmarthen Bay Film Festival
is all about encouraging and supporting independent film

and cinema here in Wales the UK and Internationally.

The festival is and will always be, a champion of independent  film!

Our is motto ‘This festival is honest’

In April 2012 Carmarthen Bay Film Festival was founded by Kelvin Guy.

The festival was held for the first time in Llanelli,Carmarthenshire, the home town of Wales' very first Hollywood film Gareth Hughes. The festival is very much the champion of the independent film maker and cinema in the UK! Carmarthen Bay Film Festival was one of the first festivals to sign up to UFFO code of conduct. Which basically means it's an open and ethical one! The festival also has a committee/board AND an independent panel of judges which is overseen by Kelvin as it's CEO

This is what one of the many film makers that attend our first festival had to say!

"I was utterly thrilled to be involved with Carmarthen Bay's first ever film festival. It was obvious from the whole set-up that the organisers had worked hard to bring not only experienced and new filmmakers together, but also the whole community. I believe that this festival has been a breath of fresh air for We

st Wales and a great opportunity for Welsh filmmakers to stand on the same platform as the rest of the UK's talent in showcasing their work. I sincerely hope that this festival will grow and grow to highlight national as well as international talent right on our doorstep here in Wales. Thank you so much for your support with both my short films!"
