Annual NYC Mental Health Film Festival

People with mental health issues are surviving and thriving in our community.  Too often, however, society sees us at our weakest and doesn’t understand our unique strengths, abilities, and all that we have to offer.  This festival features a line-up of films exploring the stigmas confronting people with psychiatric disabilities—and demonstrating the resilience of the human spirit to cope with the worst of times and the importance of family and community in promoting healing.

NYAPRS is a statewide organization comprised of mental health recipients and providers who are dedicated to improving services and social conditions for people with psychiatric disabilities. www.nyaprs.org
