À propos

Over the past 3 years, the Tallahassee Film Festival has established
itself to be an influential catalyst in the promotion of Tallahassee as a
desirable location for film, television, and music production. Since
its inaugural event in 2008, the film festival has developed into a
major regional event that gives filmmakers in the community an
opportunity to make advances in the film industry while at the same time
encouraging long-term economic development to North Florida. The 2011
festival will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the action comedy
“Something Wild,” starring Melanie Griffith and Jeff Daniels. The movie,
filmed in the Capital City, features many Tallahassee locals and
several mom-and-pop spots, a lot of which are no longer around. The
Tallahassee Film Festival plans to honor the film with its festival
theme and events. The festival will be held April 6 – 10, 2011. With
7,185 attendees and over 200 films shown, the Tallahassee Film Festival
appeals to a large audience while promoting education and economic
opportunities. The 2011 Tallahassee Film Festival is sure to be
“something wild.”
