The Festival has now started the submission process for 2010 and welcomes features, shorts and work in all genres. The Festival is committed to supporting Scottish talent and providing audiences with the opportunity to see the best of world cinema. Several films selected through the submission process have played to enthusiastic crowds at Glasgow over the last couple of years including Unrelated, Outlanders, One Day Removals, Childless and The Dungeon Moor Killings.
" We always hope to make some exciting discoveries during the submission process and we have never been disappointed, " says Festival co-director Allan Hunter. " The growing success of the Festival means that the word continues to spread about an event that attracts great audiences and has a warm, friendly welcome for all filmmakers. We have consistently selected films through the submission process that have been given high profile slots within the Festival and in some cases gone on to secure UK theatrical distribution. We are really looking forward to the hidden gems awaiting us among this year's films."

Glasgow Film Festival ran from 20 February - 2 March 2014 with a packed programme including pop-up cinema and special events in unique Glasgow venues ensuring that the Festival presence was felt in every corner of the city.
Now in its 10th edition the Glasgow Film Festival is the fastest-growing film event in Britain, attracting audiences of over 24,000 in 2009 and 40 000 in 2014.
