The International Festival of Film Schools was established in 1981. It is now one of the most important festivals for young filmmakers in the world.
More than 3,500 films have been presented at the festival since its inception. More than 3,200 foreign students and professors have had opportunities to meet, enter into discussions and share their experiences with each other.
When surveyed, members of the International Film School Association confirmed that the Munich International Festival of Film Schools enjoys great popularity among its participants.
