SOLmont Entertainment, the organizers of HollyShorts anticipate over 20,000 attendees for the 12th annual week-long celebration, which will include screenings, daily networking events, panels, seminars, a short film market, the top next generation filmmakers from around the world and the 3rd edition of the HollyShorts Film Conference at the world famous Roosevelt Hotel, Hollywood.
The maximum running time for submissions is 30 minutes. The festival’s categories include Short Live Action, Short Animation, Short Documentary, Student, Music Video, Web Series, Commercials, Trailers and 3D. This year HollyShorts is partnering with Latino Art Beat on a new Youth Film Competition 2014, a national competition available to all students attending a high school or college anywhere in North America. Students must be under 21 years old and the content must be original works 15 minutes or less. Also for the first time ever, the festival has introduced a short Screenplay category.
