This prestigious training program, organized by the Institute of the Documentary Film, supports the development of creative documentary series projects from Central and Eastern Europe.

This workshop is designed to help filmmakers refine their projects, receive expert mentorship, and gain international exposure. It consists of three intensive residential sessions throughout the year, culminating in the chance to present their project at the East Doc Forum.

This workshop has been a turning point for many filmmakers. Ex Oriente Film has fostered many successful projects, with the most recent being My Armenian Phantoms by Tamara Stepanyan, set to premiere at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival. Other notable films include Academy Award nominee Rabbit à la Berlin by Bartosz Konopka, Over the Limit by Marta Prus, A Loss of Something Ever Felt by Carlos E. Lesmes or Lessons of Love by Malgorzata Goliszewska and Katarzyna Mateja, all of which have succeeded at international festivals. |
