Universities of Cinema

There are definite schools of genres. And there exist also established universities of cinema, theatrical colleges. For myself, for a decade of years, I have teached history and theory of drama at the best theatrical university of the Eastern Europe - GITIS - located nearby MKhAT of Chekhov and well-attended by the best Soviet stars. I teached little, but I wrote a manual over drama for my celebrated students who were often much elder than myself. I was invited there by stars and I was accompanied and surrounded by stars. The chair of musical theater wss my best, astounding and exciting choice. Beyond all, I was allowed to be filmed up at video studios of Moscow.

Among my characters at cinema, there are Protazanov, Eizenstein, S.Vasiliev (my friend's grandfather), Michael Chekhov and Max Factor (also former Russians, though in Hollywood).

I am a sheerly European filmmaker and playwright; I inherit to the layers of the European culture, not excluding postmodernism.

I estimate VGIK for Mamardashvili and Tarkovsky, but I am a spiritual heir of my academic cradles - GITIS and faculty of journalism of MSU.

My genres and angles of vision spread no further. I am thankful th the Mosfilmian head Mr Shakhnazarov for that he appointed the best literary editor for my poetic plays, though he admitted that it is an epoch of blockbusters rather than of elated librettoes.

I keep an offer for those who makes and releases films in Russian. I keep three plays of three different centuries that were created due to Moscow film directors. One of them is of Dali, another of Paganini, and the last one of NkOla IvAnov (Russian tenor at Milan of the 19th century whom Baskov planned to play).

I would prefer to watch my films up filmed rather than up staged. Perhaps I will embody them at the screen later, by myself. I will star there as the clue female character, if needed.
