Sundance Film Festival 2024 Press Inclusion Initiative Application Now Open

The 2024 Sundance Film Festival Press Inclusion Initiative (PII) application for the 2024 Festival (January 18-28, 2024) opens today, August 2.

The Press Inclusion Initiative, our effort to cultivate a more representative press corps at the Sundance Film Festival, returns this year by providing multi-faceted support to a small cohort of journalists from underrepresented communities: specifically, critics and writers who identify as BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+, and/or people with disabilities.

For those eligible and interested, please fill out this form for the Initiative–after you have submitted the form, we will send you a unique link to apply for accreditation to the Festival (please note that this separate application will not arrive until August 16th, as our offices are closed from August 7th to the15th).  Both applications must be submitted by August 25th at 6 pm ET to be considered. Any incomplete application will not be considered.

Press Accreditation Applications for the 2024 Festival (January 18-28, 2024) will open August 23rd, which includes credentials for in-person and online accreditation and attendance. As in years past, we will have a limited number of credentials available and an especially limited number of online credentials.

Any press not requesting to be considered for the Press Inclusion Initiative should apply with us on or after August 23rd for consideration to receive credentials.

Please note that by submitting your Press Inclusion Initiative form and your Press Accreditation Application, you are being considered for two separate things. Regardless of whether you are selected to receive a stipend towards attending the Festival in-person or online, you will be considered independently for a press credential at the Festival.
