Solidarity with Jafar Panahi

The Berlinale continues to stand in solidarity (see press release from 11.07.2023) with the arrested filmmakers in Iran and the people in Iran fighting for their rights.

“We were very concerned for the health of Jafar Panahi and are now very glad that he has finally been released,” say the Berlinale directors Mariëtte Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian.
