Anti-Bush Protest At Sundance

Friday, January 26----While most of the milling about on Main Street in Park City has to do with celebrity-watching, party-crashing and film-hopping, an earnest group of filmmakers, industryites and audience members used the high visibility of the Sundance Film Festival to mount a protest against President Bush and his avowed "plan" (??) to add more than 20,000 more troops and several billion more dollars to the Iraq War. With several documentaries at the Festival openly critical of the costly and wasteful decision-making of the Bush Administration in relation to the managing of this conflict, Sundance's political edge was in evidence both in and out of the screening theaters.
