Sam Worthington will star in “CounterPlay” (formerly known as “Escape”)

We are proud to announce that multiple award-winning Australian actor Sam Worthington will star in “CounterPlay” (formerly known as “Escape”), the first international film produced by newly established MAM Media (Pte.) Ltd. in association with BlackOps Studios Asia, Inc.



CounterPlay is an international suspense thriller to be filmed in The Philippines, with Worthington playing the lead role of John Craig, a retired K&R specialist (Kidnap & Ransom Hostage Negotiator) who comes out of retirement to take on one last job.  The daunting task is to help a young man, played by up and coming actor/ musician, Alex Diaz, who has been wrongly accused of trafficking drugs, to escape and return to his home and family in Australia.



CounterPlay is scheduled to begin shooting in Summer 2020 in Manila, The Philippines.  The film will be directed by Pedring Lopez, the hot Philippine director best known Internationally for his recent successful action film, “Maria”, which was acquired by Netflix, and has been a hit with both critics and audiences  worldwide.
